Part 1 – Bracers

Lets start with the easiest part: the bracers!
I measured the lengh of my arm and the size of my wirst aswell as the size of the biggest part from the bracers. I could make an easy pattern with those measurements.
Then I traced this pattern onto the fabric and sewed everything together. I didn’t use any elastic or zipper, because it stays in place like this.

For the upper arm I used an elastic and sewed fabric around it. It’s slightly smaller than my arm, because I didn’t want it to slip. Be careful you don’t make it too tight!! (like i did..)

Then I just sewed a rhinestone on. Finished 🙂

Part 2 – Trousers

I bought a pattern for the trousers, which is linked at the left side. This is the second time I made trousers and they were soo easy!
I simply followed the instructions on the pattern. Theres not much you can do wrong and they even have pockets!!

For the waistband I used an elastic. Same as for hem at my legs. And et violá: Fire Nations trousers!

Part 3 – Top

The top was such a hassle.
Mainly because I was too dump to take proper measurements and the fabric is very stiff and not stretchy at all.
I don’t have any WIP pictures to show you because of the con crunch.

It is made out of 7 parts with a zipper on the side and I designed it as a neckholder.

Part 4 – Collar

The base of the collar is made out of a thin foam layer. Not more than 5mm.
I wrapped fabric around it and glued it down. Everything is secured with clips until the glue was dry.

Then I sewed some bias tape around the edges and 3 rhinestones on top of it.

This things doesn’t have any clever opening. My head barely fits through it. If you find a better way to make this collar – do it your way!

Part 5 – Belt

Lets just call this part the big belt and the small belt.
So big belt is a huge rectangle made out of soft fabric. I used snap buttons which are sewn onto my trousers, so it will stay in place.
I made the bias tape myself, so it has the same red colour as the rest of my costume. I also painted the rhinestones red and sewed them onto it.

The smaller belt is simply a very long rectangle with gold embroidery and the end. I just tie it around my waist.
